Betty A Padglick, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, James E Padglick. She was 97 years old.
Born in Avoca, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Stevens. Betty was raised in Pittston, PA where she loved her small town and the ability to visit family often.
After graduating from high school, Betty found herself employment at the Social Security Office in Baltimore, Maryland. She later returned home and began to work at Bell Telephone which became her long-term career.
Betty loved any type of artistic project. She loved knitting, crocheting, and quilting but her favorite above all was sewing. Her daughters benefited from her exceptional seamstress talents wearing her perfectly made prom gowns, wedding gowns and everyday clothing.
She relished time spent on the beach walking hand and hand with her husband along the water’s edge or simply sitting under the shade tree in Cape May. Betty enjoyed daily walks and in later years, riding her scooter around the neighborhood and talking with all the neighbors.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She loved the celebrations of family events big and small. She took pride in her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments and was so happy with the new generation of great grandchildren. She loved lots of hugs and kisses from them.
Betty is survived by her three children: James F. Padglick (MaryAnn) of Arizona, Ann Padglick Henry (Jim) of West Chester and Jane Padglick Kane (Jim) of Levittown. Five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive Betty.
