Falls Township police were dispatched on Saturday, January 15 around 2:44 p.m. to Jefferson Bucks Hospital for a report of an assault, according to court papers.

Police wrote in documents that a security officer was attempting to calm a man – James E. Manley III, 50, who has no address listed in court papers. He was reported to be upset because he believed someone stole his cell phone.

As the security officer was working to calm the man, Manley punched the hospital staffer with a closed fist across the left side of his temple, police said.
