A man has been charged after he allegedly punched a hospital security officer.

Falls Township police were dispatched on Saturday, January 15 around 2:44 p.m. to Jefferson Bucks Hospital for a report of an assault, according to court papers.
Police wrote in documents that a security officer was attempting to calm a man – James E. Manley III, 50, who has no address listed in court papers. He was reported to be upset because he believed someone stole his cell phone.
As the security officer was working to calm the man, Manley punched the hospital staffer with a closed fist across the left side of his temple, police said.

The extent of injury to the security officer was not reported.
Manley was preliminarily arraigned before on-call District Judge Kevin Wagner on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct. He was jailed on 10 percent of $200,000.
