PennDOT officials brought some holiday cheer Thursday morning when they announced the Route 1 northbound ramp to westbound I-295 reopened.
The ramp reopened after an inspection was completed and it was deemed safe, according to PennDOT.

The ramp closed in August for rehabilitation of the bridge. The ramp was expected to open before the end of the year.
The bridge rehabilitation fell under a $6.5 million contract PennDOT has with Loftus Construction Inc. of Cinnaminson, New Jersey to work on seven bridges in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties.
