Middletown Hosting Webinar On Weatherization

Middletown Township will be hosting a sustainability webinar on Thursday, December 2.

The 6:30 p.m. webinar will be on the topic of weatherization, which increases energy efficiency in homes and reduces energy costs, according to Assistant Township Manager Nick Valla.

The webinar will be headlined by three speakers:

Bahareh van Boekhold, Program Manager, Applied Energy Group and Vice Chair of Green Building United
Kathy MacWilliams, Manager of Marketing Programs, PECO
Kevin Deeny, P.E., Middletown Township Environmental Advisory Council

“All three speakers will be sharing tips about how to make these home improvements more economical through utility reductions and rebate programs,” Valla said.

Deeny has done extensive research on weatherizing Levittown homes, using his own residence, as an example. He expects his home to be net-zero on carbon next year.
