A shooting death in a Penndel Borough home earlier this month has been ruled an accident, according to the district attorney’s office and coroner.
Christopher Skidmore, 39, died of a gunshot wound to the stomach inside a home in the 400 block of Cynthia Avenue. The death was ruled an accident on Monday, according to Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck.

Borough police, county detectives, and the coroner’s office investigated the November 8 shooting.
Skidmore, according to authorities, was staying at the Penndel Borough home where his girlfriend lived when the fatal accident occurred.
Officers from the borough and surrounding communities responded to the home on the afternoon on November 8 for a report of a man who was shot. Police arrived to find Skidmore deceased, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting was launched.
