Bucks County’s newest judge will be a Republican.
Attorney Stephen Corr, who has practiced law since the 1990s, beat Democratic challenger Tiffany Thomas-Smith for the open Court of Common Pleas seat.

Corr works at Middletown Township-based firm Begley, Carlin, and Mandio.
He recently said in a candidate questionnaire that he believes the most important quality in a judge is character.
“Justice requires a judge to treat all people equally and fairly, with dignity, respect and compassion, by applying the law as written,” he said.

Corr was one of a number of Republicans that won their county races Tuesday.
