Bristol Borough’s two contested council races ended with victories for Democrats Tuesday.
Democrat Maria Figueroa beat independent candidate Michael Brannigan by about 100 votes in the North Ward council race.

Incumbent Democrat Betty Rodriguez won against a challenge from Republican Andrew Tyler McMillan in the West Ward. Rodriguez bested her opponent by about 140 votes.
Democrat Lorraine Cullen ran unopposed in the East Ward and Democratic Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe was unopposed in the South Ward. The two incumbents will serve four-year terms.
Mayor Joe Saxton, a Democrat, and Tax Collector Anna Bono Larrisey, a Republican, both won after running unopposed.
