Middletown Township police will be at Neshaminy High School Friday after word of threats swirled around.

Two parents whose kids attend the high school told LevittownNow.com they were keeping their kids home due to the talk of threats that spread through the student body Thursday evening.

“We have no evidence of credible threats. We have some additional police presence in addition to our school resource officers present at the school today,” Neshaminy School District spokesperson Chris Stanley said.

A parent said officers were visible at the school Friday morning.

The talk of threats follow two protests at the high school over inequality over the past two days. Despite rumors, the protests were peaceful and caused no serious problems.
