Countywide Drug Take Back Event Set For Saturday

Got drugs that you want to get rid of? This Saturday will provide a great opportunity.

Bucks Countyโ€™s outing of the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will collect unused, unneeded, or expired prescription medicationsย from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at multiple locations.

With pandemic safety precautions in mind, participants have been asked to stay in their vehicles after driving to collection sites. Police or volunteers will direct drivers to collection boxes, where they can pull up and deposit the medications.

  • Bristol Borough Hall,ย 250 Pond Street, Bristol
  • Bristol Township Municipal Complex, 2501 Bath Road, Bristol
  • Bucks County Technical High School, 610 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills
  • Falls Township Police Department,ย 188 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills
  • Giant Food Store, 4001 New Falls Road, Levittown
  • Giant Food Store, 168 North Flowers Mill Road, Langhorne
  • Langhorne Borough Hall, 114 East Maple Avenue, Langhorne
  • Lower Bucks Hospital โ€“ Lobby,ย 501 Bath Road, Bristol
  • Penndel Police Department, 300 South Bellevue Avenue, Penndel
  • St. Mary Medical Center โ€“ Main Lobby,ย 121 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne
  • Tullytown Police Department, 500 Main Street, Tullytown
  • William Penn Fire Station, 123 Main Street, Hulmeville

In addition to the medication collections, four sites will be collecting sharps used to inject medications. Those sites will also distribute overdose-reversal medication naloxone.

The Lower Bucks County sharps collection site is at the Giant Food Store at 2721 Street Road in Bensalem Township.

More than 162,000 pounds of unused medications have been collected in Bucks County since the program began in 2010.

There are more than 40 year-around drop-off sites around the county for residents to use.
