The money is an amendment to an existing contract with the nonprofit.
The money will be used to provide temporary housing for Bucks Countians left homeless by the July 12 flash flooding event and Hurricane Ida.
Jeffrey Fields, director of the Bucks County Department of Housing and Community Development, said the Bucks County Emergency Rental Assistance (BERA) Program has so far helped just under 40 families displaced by the two flooding events. The housing program additionally helped 31 people and families experiencing homelessness this year.
