State Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) will host a free paper shredding event on Saturday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of his Langhorne office, located at 370 East Maple Avenue, Langhorne, to help residents of the 142nd District guard themselves against identity theft.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to properly dispose of documents containing personal information,” Farry said. “Identity theft is a serious and common threat, but there are steps we can take to help protect ourselves against it.”

Residents are encouraged to bring documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, medical information or bank account numbers, to be thoroughly shredded. This event is for residents only, no businesses please. Due to high demand, individuals are limited to two file boxes of paper to be shredded.

Farry’s staff will be on hand during the event to address any state-related issues or questions. Free information on state programs and services will be available.
