The district said Findlay previously worked in Bristol Township schools from 2003 to 2016. He graduated from the Levittown high school in 1997.

“BTSD is happy to welcome Rob back as he is a positive asset to our team. We look forward to having him in our administration.” Superintendent Dr. Melanie Gehrens said.

Prior to rejoining the Bristol Township School District, Findlay worked as the athletic director and an assistant principal in the Council Rock School District. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Gwynedd-Mercy University.

โ€œI learned a lot at Council Rock and can now bring an outside perspective and new skills to create an even better version of Truman High School,โ€ he said. โ€œThe biggest thing is giving students the opportunity to get the best education in the four years that theyโ€™re at Truman.โ€

Findlay said he is happy to be back in the district.

Returning to the district, he plans to listen and learn from the administrative team.

โ€œI want to help in any way I can whether thatโ€™s providing insight from a leadership perspective or experience in the athletic world,โ€ he said.

During his last stint in Bristol Township, Findlay taught math at the high school, Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School, and at the Ben Franklin Freshman Academy. He served as athletic director for his final year.

“Findlay has extensive experience coaching and has done so at all levels from four-year-olds to varsity athletes. Currently, he coaches t-ball for a local youth organization and also coaches soccer and basketball for Holy Family Regional Catholic School,” the district said in a statement.
