An anonymous caller reported that a wanted subject was in the 7-Eleven store on Lincoln Highway. Officers from Penndel police and surrounding departments responded to the scene. A 42-year-old man was identified as the wanted subject. He was arrested after a computer check indicated that he was wanted. Further fingerprint checks indicated that he was wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff’s office. He was taken to Penndel police and then taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. There are other charges pending the outcome of the investigation.ย

DUI
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hulmeville Avenue for a report of a domestic in progress. The victim reported that his ex-girlfriend had attempted to force her way back into the apartment for the second time today. An officer was close to the location of the call and the victim reported that the ex-girlfriend, as a 42-year-old woman, had left in a red vehicle south on Hulmeville Avenue towards Bensalem Township. As the officers began to look for her vehicle, an officer from Hulmeville Borough spotted the vehicle on Main Street and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop, but eventually stopped in the 300 block of Main Street. Officers from Penndel arrived to obtain her side of the story. While speaking to the drive, officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath and person. The woman was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which she was unable to complete. The woman was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing. While investigating the incident, officers found an open can of an alcoholic beverage in the rear seat of the vehicle that was still cold. The woman will be issued a summons to appear in court.ย

An officer was conducting traffic enforcement when he observed a vehicle traveling on Lincoln Highway without functioning a functioning rear lighting system. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer made contact with the driver. A check of PennDOT records indicated that the woman had a suspended license was not allowed to be driving a vehicle. A check of the front seat passenger, a 42-year-old woman, showed that she had an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested and released to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office upon their arrival. A check of the rear seat passenger, a 27-year-old man, showed that he had an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and released to the Bucks County Sheriff’s upon their arrival. The driver will be sent a summons to appear in court and was released from the scene. The vehicle was towed as there were no licensed drivers available to drive the vehicle.

Around 2 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle exit a business on Lincoln Highway and make a short left hand turn into the wrong lane of travel before making a wide right on to Hulmeville Road. The vehicle was stopped and contact with made with the driver, and sole occupant, a 23-year-old man. While speaking with the man, the officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, however, he was unable to complete them. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.ย
