Two people were hurt and one fired off a shot during a dog attack Wednesday evening.
Bristol Borough police Chief Steve Henry his officers and the animal control officer are investigating the attack that happened around 7:30 p.m. on Otter Street.

The dog jumped through a screen door at a home on Otter Street and ran toward the Bath Street Market, police said.
At the market, it attacked a 21-year-old borough man and then crossed the street to attack a 35-year-old borough man who happened to be walking in the area, police said.
The 35-year-old man fired a shot from his handgun into the ground to frighten the dog, police said.

The owner of the dog that attacked the two people came over and took control of the pooch, police said.
The two injured men were treated for dog-attack wounds at Lower Bucks Hospital, police said.

Police reported the firearm was legally possessed by the victim who fired the shot.
Henry said the investigation is ongoing, but the owner will be charged with failure to contain and harboring a dangerous dog.
