SEPTA and Amtrak confirmed both their trains on the tracks, the main corridor for commuter rail traffic between cities in the northeast, were stopped due to the incident.

An Amtrak train was stopped on the tracks near the Bath Street bridge. It was believed that was the train that struck the person.

Borough police, rail police, and firefighters were on the scene as of 3 p.m.
