Teller Injured After Car Plows Into Bank

A teller was taken to the hospital after a car smashed into a bank in Bristol Township.

The car slammed into the Wells Fargo Bank at the Fairless Hills Shopping Center on South Oxford Valley Road around 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

The bank staff assisted the injured teller and they were transported to the hospital by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt said.

The driver was not seriously injured.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the township’s inspectors were evaluating the damage to the bank.

What caused the driver to go into the building was not immediately clear, but it did not appear intentional.

Firefighters secured the utilities at the bank following the crash.
