A storm that rolled through the area Tuesday evening might have been to blame for a house fire.

A home in the unit block of Indian Creek Pass in Bristol Township’s Levittown section caught fire around 6:50 p.m.

Crews were able to quickly arrive on the scene because they were at a nearby medical call. Firefighters were able to hold the flames to a front bedroom, Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt said.

The homeowner reported losing power and noticing smoke from the bedroom after the lights came back on, Shortt said.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said Wednesday that the cause was still being investigated, but a lightning strike may have been to blame.
