Two detectives – one from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and one from the Falls Township Police Department – alleged in court papers that they found drugs while probing a shooting.
The township and county detective were investigating a May 5 shooting that injured a man at the Castle Club Apartments on West Trenton Avenue in Falls Township when a suspect was developed. The suspect – identified in court papers filed this month as Ted Forney III, 34, of Bristol Township – was located on Truman Street in Bristol Township in early June. The vehicle located at his house was also spotted on video surveillance leaving the shooting scene, authorities said.

The vehicle was towed from Forney’s home to the Falls Township police station.
A search warrant was obtained and executed on the car, a Nissan Altima. Inside, police found documents connected to Forney, suspected marijuana that had a label that it was issued to Forney, and 28 knotted bags containing suspect methamphetamine. A total of $1,060 in cash and an identification badge issued to Forney were located in a pair of jeans located in a suitcase, police said.
Text messages on Forney’s iPhone indicated he was involved in narcotics sales, police said.

A lab determination confirmed there was meth uncovered, police said.
While Forney has been labeled as a suspect in the shooting, he has not been charged in relation to the incident as of Wednesday, according to county court records.
