Death of Man Found In Creek Under Investigation

The death of a man found in the Otter Creek in Bristol Borough is under investigation as of Friday morning.

The man’s body was found in the Otter Creek off Maple Beach Road around 7 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters from Bensalem Township, Bristol Borough, and Bristol Township were called to assist with the recovery of the remains.

Police said a fisherman spotted the body about 50 yards from the Maple Beach Road bridge.

Due to dense brush, boats were deployed to reach the body, police said.

“Investigators have made a tentative identification on the male victim and are attempting to make notification to the family.  The investigation is continuing and a autopsy will be conducted by the Bucks County Medical Examiner Friday,” police said in a statement.

In addition to Bristol Borough police, Bucks County Detectives were assisting with the investigation.
