Amid complaints about fireworks going off at all hours, Falls Township police cited a dozen people for fireworks law violations over the July 4th holiday.
Police Chief Nelson Whitney briefed the public at Monday evening’s Falls Township Board of Supervisors’ meeting that the citations were filed.

The chief noted a man in his 40s had an M-80 firecracker go off in his hand on July 4th at the Penn Warner Club.
The man suffered injuries to his hand and was hospitalized, Whitney said.
The Pennsylvania State Police have highlighted the following rules for lighting off fireworks:
- They cannot be ignited or discharged on a public or private property without express permission of the property owner.
- They cannot be discharged from or within a motor vehicle or building.
- They cannot be discharged toward a motor vehicle or building.
- They cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure.
- They cannot be discharged while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or another drug.
