It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a giant great white shark!

The 128-foot-long and 44-foot-high blimp designed to look like a great white shark coming straight at you was spotted last week and Monday over Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, and Falls Township, according to LevittownNow.com readers.

The shark-theme blimp is part of Discovery Channel’s promotion of their annual Shark Week programming.

Officials from Discovery Channel said this is the first year ever that the network is using a blimp to advertise the programming that started airing this week.

The blimp can travel 250 miles per day. It began flying in late June in Nashville and will travel across the East Coast until July 20.

In 2013, a blimp wrapped with a Minion movie character passed over the Levittown area several times.
