Two people have been accused of conspiracy to commit robbery of a convenience store in Bristol Township.
Last Sunday, which was the Fourth of July, Bristol Township police were called to the 7-Eleven store at the corner of Route 13 and Edgely Road around 9:40 p.m. for a reported theft in progress. The first arriving officer found the front doors locked and entered to see two people – identified as Jamar Rasool Wylie, 30, of Philadelphia, and Joan Michelle Corbin, 53, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey – in the rear of the store, according to court papers.

The officer said he had encountered duo earlier in the day, but he did not list in court papers what the encounter had been.
Store employees reportedly relayed to police that the two had been taking items from the store and had threatened them with a sword. The responding officer said he spotted the sword near the cashier’s counter.
The officer asked Wylie and Corbin to move to the back of the store, which was away from other customers and employees.

The two danced around and took items shelves. They put the goods “in front of my face and asked my opinion on the items,” the officer wrote.
At one point, the two suspects ran from the back of the building and a foot pursuit started, police said.
