A Bristol Township man is in trouble after Bristol Borough police allege he stole a catalytic converter.
Bristol Borough Officer Michael Levitsky arrested David E. Goodbred, 33, of Bristol Township’s Newportville section, Monday on charges of attempted theft, attempted receiving stolen property, possession of an instrument of crime, and criminal mischief.

Goodbred, according to police, allegedly stole a catalytic converter from a Ford F-350 on Corson Street in the borough on June 9.
The region has seen a wave of catalytic converter thefts over the past year. Police statements and court records have revealed there are multiple people stealing catalytic converts in the area.
Goodbred was arraigned by on-call District Judge Michael Gallagher and bail was set at 10 percent of $40,000, which Goodbred was able to post, according to a court docket.

Goodbred was out on bail at the time on possession of drug paraphernalia, hindering apprehension, and theft cases. Trial dates in the cases are set for fall.
