A tactical team assisted in the arrest of a Falls Township man Friday evening.
The South Emergency Response Team, which is made up of officers from the Bensalem Township, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, and Falls Township, assisted detectives Friday evening who were executing a high-risk search warrant at a home on Harding Drive in the Fairless Hills section of the township. The warrant execution was part of an investigation into an alleged road-rage incident that involved a firearm being displayed, Falls Township police Chief Nelson Whitney said.

“The incident resolved peacefully and the firearm was recovered,” Whitney said.
Vincent P. Meier, 72, of Falls Township, was arrested in relation to the incident. He is a felon and was not to possess a firearm, while also being a suspect in a previous shooting, Whitney said.
Meier was arraigned Friday night by an on-call district judge on charges of possession of a firearm when prohibited, firearms not to be carried without a license, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and terroristic threats. He was arraigned and sent to county lockup on 10 percent of $300,000.
