A resident suffered burns after a fire at their home.
Firefighters were called to the 5600 block of Treaty Street in Bristol Township at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday for a report of blaze. The first crews showed up within three minutes.

Third District Fire Company Howard McGoldrick said crews arrived to find light smoking coming from the residence. The homeowner had used two fire extinguishers to put down the bulk of the kitchen fire.
Firefighters only needed about five gallons of water to put down the remaining flames, McGoldrick said, adding the fire was contained to the kitchen and a small part of the living room.
Kevin Dippolito, Bristol Township’s fire marshal, said the blaze was caused by an item on the stove top.

The homeowner was burned removing a burning pot from the kitchen and suffered smoke inhalation, McGoldrick said.
The man was transported by Bensalem EMS to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment.

The kitchen had moderate damage, and there was smoke damage throughout the home, Dippolito said.
McGoldrick noted the home’s working smoke detectors and available fire extinguishers helped lead to a quick knockdown of the fire.
In addition to the Third District Fire Company, the Croydon, Edgely, Levittown No. 2, and Newportville fire companies responded to the scene.
