Fifth graders at a Falls Township elementary school played flag football for a good cause on Thursday.
The students took part in the 11th Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School Super Duper Bowl.

The champion of this year’s match-up between fifth grade classes was Miller’s Mean Machine.
The outdoor fun involved a charitable component as students collecting canned goods for the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter in Bristol Township. The donations help local families in need.
The team names were tied to the students’ teachers. Teacher Roger Kean’s class was the Kean Kongs, Jason Miller’s class was Miller’s Mean Machine, Arlene Toledano’s class was Toledano Tornadoes, and Megan Wells’ class was Wells Warriors. Students created mascots and wore custom shirts.

The Super Duper Bowl is typically held the week leading up to the Super Bowl, but COVID-19 delayed those plans this year. The Super Duper Bowl for 2021 was held in accordance with the health and safety regulations.
