A crash closed Route 1 northbound for some time Tuesday morning.
The multi-vehicle crash happened before 10:30 a.m. on the highway in the area of where Fee Avenue meets the access road in Middletown Township’s Langhorne section.

Officer Kevin Platenecky said the crash involved a tractor-trailer, box truck, and Nissan Rogue. The vehicles collided and Nissan spun around, becoming wedged between the center guardrail and box truck.
Several fire companies responded to the scene and helped remove the driver from the Nissan.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital with post-crash chest pains, Platenecky said.

The highway reopened in around an hour.
