The Bristol Township School District has appointed an administrator to a new position in the district.
Christopher Polzer was appointed last month by the Bristol Township School Board as the new director of administration for the district’s roughly 6,500 students. He was previously supervisor of special education and oversaw special education staff and programming for about 600 kids at Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School, Neil A. Armstrong Middle School, and Mill Creek Elementary School.

“I embody the mentality of ‘Every Student, Every Day,’” said Polzer. “Building quality relationships and continuing to build upon them is what moves students forward.”
Polzer has served as supervisor of special education since 2018 and has eight years of administrative experience previously.
“Currently, Polzer is working towards a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Gywnedd-Mercy University. He earned his supervisor of special education certification from Penn State University, completed his master of education also at Gywnedd-Mercy University and completed his bachelor’s degree at Kutztown University,” the district said in a statement.

Polzer said he enjoys working with families and teaming with them to improve students’ education.
“We need to focus on individualization of each student as we work our way out of this pandemic,” said Polzer.
“Chris has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in the District and will excel with his new responsibilities as director of administration,” Superintendent Dr. Melanie Gehrens said.
