The scores are out, and the Levittown-area’s high schools were ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s best high schools report.
The online news magazine’s ranking methodology looked at six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.

The magazine’s editors noted the data used for the 2021 list was from the 2018-2019 school year and was not impacted by the pandemic.
“Families can use the Best High Schools rankings to see how schools compare at the national, state and local level on factors like graduation rates and college readiness,” said Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News & World Report. “The rankings also provide insight into academic performance among underserved groups.”
See how local high schools ranked:
- Bristol Borough High School: Pennsylvania-wide rank: 437, Nationwide rank: 11,057 , and an 85 percent (somewhat below state median) graduation rate.
- Neshaminy High School: Pennsylvania-wide rank: 138, Nationwide rank: 3,413, and a 93 percent graduation rate.
- Pennsbury High School: Pennsylvania-wide rank: 106, Nationwide rank: 2,643, and a 95 percent graduation rate.
- Harry S. Truman High School: Pennsylvania-wide rank: 489, Nationwide rank: 12,517, and an 80 percent (well below state median) graduation rate.

None of the Levittown area’s high schools were among the state’s top 100 high schools. However, Central Bucks High School West, Central Bucks High School South, Council Rock High School North, Council Rock High School South, and Palisades High School in Bucks County were among the top 100 in the state.
