Gov. Tom Wolf received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine Monday morning near his home.
The governor, a York County Democrat in his second term, received his first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the Family First Health Center in downtown York City. Dr. Asceline Go administered the vaccine.

The governor previously tested positive for COVID-19 in December 2020 after several members of his Pennsylvania State Police security detail became sick.
All Pennsylvanians 16-plus are able to get vaccination appointments.
“I was happy to wait until every Pennsylvanian who wants a vaccine was eligible to get my own, and I was really pleased to get my first dose today at Family First Health, a federally qualified health center,” Wolf said. “I hope my vaccination sets an example for those who might still be considering getting a COVID-19 vaccine and encourages them to make the decision to make an appointment today to get vaccinated.”

Across Pennsylvania, a total of 4.3 million people are partially vaccinated and 2.7 were fully vaccinated as of Monday.
Wolf said his second dose appointment has been scheduled.
