Local nonprofits are teaming up to offer a day of rest for military veterans and their families.
Salute 2 Service and the Bucks County Housing Group will host A Day of R&R at Bristol Township Municipal Park next to the township government building at 2501 Bath Road from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The event will offer more than 500 boxes of fresh groceries, clothing, personal care items, job connections, assistance with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs claims, legal referrals, and help for addiction and mental health. Additionally, there will be guest speakers, a visit from motorcycle groups, an honor guard, a food truck, and live music.
