The Falls Township Board of Supervisors are asking residents to help clean up.
During their Monday evening meeting, Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence called for township staff to work to organize litter cleanups and encouraged residents to put trash in the proper place.

Dence said the township will be putting up signs and posting on social media to raise public awareness to fight littering. He also stated township police will continue enforce littering laws.
“It’s disgusting. People are ignorant,” Dence said. “People drive down the street throwing trash out the window.”
The township has noticeable littering issues on Cabot Boulevard, Route 1, and Lower Morrisville Road, Dence said.

Supervisor John Palmer said the community could take part in a litter cleanup event for Earth Day on April 22.
Prior to the pandemic, littering was a problem in the township and it has continued since.

“Litter pollutes our roadways, public lands and waterways, decreases property values, and cleaning it up, wastes tax dollars,” the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection said on their website.
Aside from government, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and Greenbelt Overhaul Alliance of Levittown (G.O.A.L.) often are involved in cleanups.
