A Middletown Township man injured in a crash last October has been charged.
Brandon Tyson, 25, was charged with a number of offenses, including fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, reckless endangerment, and DUI. He had a preliminary arraignment last week and he was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.

The charges stem from an alleged incident on Sunday, October 11.
On that date around 8:30 p.m., according to court papers, Falls Township police were dispatched to the area of Route 13 and West Trenton Avenue for a maroon Honda Accord driving erratically. A witness reported the vehicle had struck the center concrete median on Route 13 northbound near Tyburn Road.
An officer wrote in court papers that he activated his marked police vehicle’s emergency lights and siren as he followed the Honda while it traveled on Pine Grove Road. He reported the vehicle drove erratically and nearly struck a number of other vehicles.

The officer followed the Honda as it blew a red light at the intersection of Big Oak and Makefield roads before swerving and almost hitting other cars, according to court papers.
The Honda slowed down and then sped up as it approached the intersection of Big Oak and Stony Hill roads, the officer wrote in court papers.

The Honda ended up going off the roadway near the curve on Big Oak Road near Makefield Road near the Falls Township and Lower Makefield Township border. The car struck three trees and Tyson was ejected and seriously injured, police said.
Three officers administered first aid to Tyson, and the Yardley-Maefield Rescue Squad transported Tyson to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township, police said.
An investigator obtained a search warrant for Tyson’s blood sample at the hospital. An analysis of the blood showed levels of amphetamine, methamphetamine, acetone, alprazolam, and midazolam.
