A worker and the owner spotted the fire along the roof of the diner and dialed 9-1-1. Fire crews were on a call in the Red Cedar neighborhood and quickly responded to the diner, said Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard.
Firefighters were quickly able to put out the flames before they spread, Cirard said.
