A traffic stop in Bristol Township last week found a driver under the influence and a gun they should not have been in possession of at the time.
Pennsylvania State Police on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a black 2011 Audi A5 at the Bristol Exit I-95 off-ramp around 12:18 a.m. last Friday. They found the 35-year-old Philadelphia man behind the wheel was driving while under the influence of a controlled substance, according to troopers.

Further investigation found a loaded Glock 43 9mm pistol, drugs, and related paraphernalia. The 35-year-old man who was driving and the 22-year-old Philadelphia woman who was the passenger were not able to possess the firearm. The man was a convicted felon, state police said.
The two, whose names were not released by state police, were taken into custody by troopers. They were later charged and jailed.
