The man behind one of the area’s most popular and colorful Christmas light displays is color blind.
Fox 29 reported that Mark Harnishfeger, who hosts the Colonial Drive Lights at his home off Brownsville Road, got to see his impressive display in its full glory recently for the first time after a company donated glasses with special optical filters that help color blind people see color.

“I do see a difference. They’re brighter. The reds and greens definitely stand out a bit more. It’s very nice. Very cool,” Harnishfeger told the TV station.ย
