The Pennsbury School Board appointed a new member at their Thursday evening meeting.
The school board voted to appoint Linda Palsky to fill the Region 3 seat left vacant when Christian Schwartz resigned due to time commitments last month. She is a resident of Lower Makefield Township and served on the school board from 1999 to 2011.

The term will run through November 2021.
During her previous 12-year run on the school board, Palsky served as school board president, vice person, and chaired multiple committees. She was involved with employee contract negotiations, facilities renovations, and two superintendent searches.
“On behalf of the administrative team, we look forward to partnering with Ms. Palsky, as well as the entire Board, to successfully accomplish the district’s ongoing goals and strategies,” Superintendent Dr. William Gretzula said.

The school board considered a number of applicants for the vacant seat.
