Four dogs were rescued during a Saturday morning fire.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Dogwood Drive in Bristol Township’s Levittown section at 8:52 a.m. for the report of a blaze.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the home and fire near the living room, Edgely Fire Company Deputy Chief Carl Pierce said.
It took about 20 minutes to place the fire under control, Pierce said.
The residents got out of the home unhurt, but their four dogs hid inside. Firefighters helped find the dogs and all were safe, officials said.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the fire started with a pile of clothing. The exact cause of the blaze remained under investigation as of afternoon.
The home was left uninhabitable until repairs could be made. The Red Cross was assisting the residents.

The Edgely Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Fairless Hills, Morrisville, Newportville, and Third District fire companies.
