The area’s catholic high school teachers have agreed to a contract with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The two-year deal between the archdiocese and the Association of Catholic School Teachers Local 1776 was ratified Friday by the union that represents about 500 teachers at 17 religious high schools, including Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bristol Township.

The agreement gives teachers a $1,200 per year pay bump and no change or increase to the medical benefit plan.
“The Office of Catholic Education is most thankful for the sacrifices school families make for their children and takes its responsibility seriously to create classroom environments where excellence in faith formation, teaching and learning is paramount,” saidย Jason Budd, the chief negotiator for the Office of Catholic Education.
Catholic high schools began last week in a hybrid instructional model amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
