Although ceremonies will be a bit different this year due to the pandemic, local communities will still mark the September 11th attacks 19 years later.

The Garden of Reflection on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield, the statewide memorial, will remember the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people, including 18 from Bucks County, with a drive-thru ceremony. The event will include a drive-thru procession starting at 7 p.m. Drivers will be flanked by lights and flags. A ceremony and music will be broadcast on a designated radio station and online.

The Garden of Reflection will be open until 5 p.m. for the public to take a self-guided tour to pay tribute.

Tullytown Borough will host their annual remembrance ceremony at the park behind Borough Hall on Main Street starting at 7 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be required.

There will not be a ceremony, but the Edgely Fire Company on Edgely Road in Bristol Township offers a quiet place of a reflection at September 11th memorial on the side of the station.
