A tenant has been found for the former Walmart store in Bristol Borough.
Sources with knowledge of deal confirm that 118,000-square-foot Walmart store in Bristol Park at the corner of Route 13 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) will be leased by a company that will use it as a warehouse with public-facing retail space.

The Bristol Indoor Flea Market, which opened at the site in early 2020, announced to vendors recently that the space was leased for use as a “distribution center for a wholesale liquidator.” Vendors with property inside the store were given until Saturday to move remove their items.
Tony Soprano, the marketing coordinator for Phila Flea Markets, said the popular outdoor flea market at the closed Walmart will continue “at least” through November 1.
The flea market launched in late winter and quickly was forced to close through June due to COVID-19 restrictions. It has since reopened outdoors and customers have returned.

The flea market took the space after the Walmart, which closed in late 2017, had the remaining time of their lease with shopping center owner Brixmor expire.
Residents have speculated for the past few years about what might take the space, but marketing documents from Brixmor show the company pitching the site as a possible fulfillment center. One proposal shows three restaurants could be constructed in the shopping center near the closed Walmart and the demolition of a nearby store to make room for loading docks.

Bristol Borough has not received any formal proposal for land development or demolition at the site.
