
The Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will fund more than $890,000 in local infrastructure improvements.
Gov. Tom Wolf’s office announced that Middletown Township will receive $275,000 for the planned Langhorne Gables storm sewer drainage rehabilitation project.

State Rep. Frank Farry’s office said the project aims to “mitigate flooding issues and address safety concerns and potential property damage for both residential and township property. Longview Avenue is in need of a new storm sewer system for collection and conveyance ofย waterย and alleviation of flooding, while a new storm sewer system and a perforated pipe within a stone trench will be installed on Adams Avenue for additional collection and capacity.”
The Township of Falls Authority received $400,000 for a sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration reduction project and $215,036 for Penn Village water main lining work, according to the governor’s office.
โThis vital grant program allows for costly but necessary water infrastructure improvements that would otherwise be unfeasible to smaller Pennsylvania communities,โ said Wolf. โWhen we invest into our communities now, they benefit for years to come, and todayโs approved projects will significantly improve the quality of life in these communities.โ

Across the state, the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program funded 276 projects through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
