The Falls Township Board of Supervisors voted to extend municipal rules allowing expanded outdoor dining.

The supervisors voted unanimously Monday evening to extend the resolution that was approved originally in June as Bucks County opened up after strict COVID-19 mitigation measures. The extension runs through October 31.

The resolution approved by the supervisors allows eateries to offer outdoor dining, a popular and necessary option during the pandemic.

“That’s a no-brainer for me,” Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence said of the vote. “Do your best to keep shopping in Falls. (Businesses) are doing the best they can to stay afloat.”

Supervisors Vice Chairman Jeff Boraski said that voting to extend the outdoor dining resolution was “the least we could do to help the business owners of Falls Township.”
