Extremely hot weather is coming to the Levittown area over the next few days.
According to the National Weather Service, incoming 90-plus degree weather could bring heat index values over 100 degrees on some days. Temperatures between 90 and 98 are expected Saturday through Wednesday.

An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for Lower Bucks County from noon Sunday until 8 p.m. Monday.
Monday, according to forecasters, is expected to be the hottest day with heat index values up to 110 degrees.
The warmest temperatures of the day typically come between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

“Reschedule outdoor activities to the early morning or evening hours. Wear lightweight, loose fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water. If at all possible, stay in an air-conditioned building and check on others who may be susceptible to the extreme heat, especially the elderly,” forecasters said.
Due to the sweltering temperatures forecasted, Bucks County plans to open a number of cooling centers.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many senior centers, which often open their doors on hot days, are closed.
