Standing singly in Middletown Township’s Levittown section, 19-year-old Angelo Gyamfi stood promoting a call for equality.
The freshman college student started at the corner of Veterans Highway (Route 413) Monday evening before police asked him to move at the request of the property owner. He easily complied and carried his sign along Trenton Road as he headed toward his family’s home.

The “no justice, no peace” message has become one condemning systemic racism at rallies across the globe in recent years. While there has been civil unrest across the country and the nearby cities of Philadelphia and Trenton, Gyamfi’s message was intended to be simple and peaceful.
“I’ve posted about it on social media before, but I wanted to get out and do more,” he said.
In Levittown, Gyamfi said he received lots of support on Monday.
