Middletown Supervisor Launches Art Contest To Thank Responders, Health Care Workers

An elected official is drawing the Middletown community together to thank first responders and health care workers.

Supervisor Amy Strouse announced the effort to get kids and teens to submit drawings thanking the front-line workers dealing the COVID-19 outbreak and other emergencies on Tuesday.

“As many of you know, our emergency management team, first responders, fire companies, and police department have been working around the clock to keep Middletown Township ready to respond to the coronavirus emergency,” she said. “If you’re like me, you couldn’t be any more appreciative of these hard-working professionals protecting us from such an unrepresented threat.”

Young artists can submit drawings that thank the workers and volunteers on 8.5- by 11-inch paper. Drawings should have the youngster’s name and grade shared with them.

There are three ways to submit artwork:

• Post to or tag @MiddletownBucks on our Facebook page;
• Mail to 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne, PA 19047; or
• Bring to the Municipal Center once we resume normal operations.

Winning artwork will be chosen and recognized at a future Board of Supervisors meeting.
