COVID-19 Testing Begins At St. Mary Medical Center

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing for patients with a prescription began Thursday at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown.

Several people who passed by said there were varying amounts of vehicles driving through the testing center during different points during the day. During a 15 minute period in the afternoon LevittownNow.com observed from public property at Core Creek Park, two vehicles pulled up and testing was conducted.

A source with knowledge of the operation said the test results would be relayed to the patient when completed.

Medical center officials said they were still confirming the number of patients who took part in the testing.

The testing site is not operated by the government, but the results of tests taken there would be reported to county and state health officials.

Doylestown Hospital and Abington Jefferson Hospital in Montgomery County are among the nearby medical centers that have also started drive-thru testing.
