In a first for Levittown-area towns, the Middletown Board of Supervisors will stream their upcoming public meeting live to Facebook.
The upcoming Monday meeting will be broadcast in real-time on the township’s Facebook page. The 7 p.m. meeting at the Middletown Township Municipal Center at 3 Municipal Way will still take place and is open to the public.

“Viewers are encouraged to post comments to the video during the meeting. Staff will be prepared to feed questions to the Board of Supervisors during the meeting. Residents are also encouraged to send questions before the meeting they would like addressed to the Township Manager, Stephanie Teoli Kuhls, at steoli@middletownbucks.org,” a statement from the township stated.
The township has long broadcast their meetings live on public access cable TV stations and later posts video online. However, no Levittown-area local governments broadcast their regular meetings on Facebook.
“This is an important next step toward making government accessible to the community,” said Supervisors Chairperson Mike Ksiazek. “Especially as critical situations like the coronavirus are evolving by the hour, the ability to communicate in real time with the public matters now more than ever.”
