Following Hazmat Call, Authorities Seek Illegal Dumpers

Falls Township authorities are seeking a vehicle and two people suspected of being connected to illegal dumping.

Fire officials were called to the shopping center that houses Boston Market, Salad Works, and Fritz’s Bakery Monday morning for a hazmat incident. They discovered several flammable substances had been dumped, including what appeared to be used oil.

While investigating, authorities reviewed surveillance video that showed an older pickup truck with two occupants in the area of the shopping center last Friday around 6:45 p.m., Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.

The vehicle authorities are seeking what appears to be an older-model pickup truck, possibly a Dodge, with a full bed and damage to the hood and fender on the driver-side, Dippolito said.

Anyone with information can contact Dippolito at 215-949-9000 ext. 250. All information will be kept confidential.
